ICT stands for informatio n and communication technologies it includes radio and televisyen as well as newer digital technologies such as computers and the Internet. According to United States Nations Conference on Trade and Development`s Information Economy Report 2007/2008 ,ICT is spreading fast to the developing world and contributing to the rapid modernisation of the economies. ICT consists of the hardware, software, networks and media for the purpose of collection, storage, processing, presentation of information and transmission.
In recent years, radio an dtelevisyen have for over forty years been used for open and distance learing. Although prints remains cheap, most accesible and most dominant delivery mechanism in both developed and developing contries. Over the last twenty years, the Ministry of Education (Moe) in Malaysia has embarked on many diffrent projects on the use of ICT in the schools. ICT provides the required human resourses through offcient education and training.
